My first mentor in software development mentioned he once had a program literally frozen - because the stack was left outside in the winter and he had to wait for it to thaw before it would feed correctly. He wished he'd kept them - apparently CMU logo punch cards are worth something now.

It is pretty simple. If you are a professor you have power and influence over any student. Some of it you are aware of (or should be) and some of it may not be apparent. Because of this, it is wrong to date a student, even if they are willing or think there’s no coercion.

From 21st July 2025, Ireland’s regulator will be enforcing age checks at the door for social media sites. Recording who comes in. Or requiring sites to apply not one but TWO separate content bans. One of which is material deemed likely to “impair the physical, mental or moral development”
