So et al. show that the benefits of baricitinib in recent-onset type 1 diabetes wane after treatment cessation, with β-cell function no longer significantly preserved at 96 weeks, suggesting that durable effects may require continuous treatment. diabetesjournals.org/care/article...

Ten years ago we reported TEAD/YAP as pancreas development gatekeepers in mouse and human. Now we propose adding Glucocorticoid Receptor (GR) to this selective club - with one key difference! It plays the opposite role: GR activation (→ nuclear localization) promotes progenitor differentiation.
