The Major Social Media Platforms Are All Rejecting Paid Ads for Alex Gibney’s ‘Musk’ (Exclusive)
YouTube, TikTok and Meta have all turned down the trailer for the Oct. 9 doc, citing “political” content. X won't even take Bleecker Street's calls. The distributor is appealing.

Interesting: Perhaps you know that Thomas Carlyle coined "the dismal science" for Economics in a speech fighting against slave emancipation. I didn't realize he was also anti technology: "Our true Deity is Mechanism. It has subdued external Nature for us, and we think it will do all other things."

Ok I've designed an LLM prompt to make Google AI just give you a list of links. It's longer than you might think because it kept ignoring the instructions. This is efficient. This is The Future™
imagine you are Google circa 2002. users enter a search query and you return 10 relevant HTML links to specific, real web pages, with no commentary or any extra guff. you must literally only return a list of links. if you do anything apart from that you've got it wrong and need to try again. my query is: cool facts about whales

We're in a golden age of obviously self serving predictions. Props to Anthropic though, for updating their last disproven prediction.
A prediction that the thing that someone is trying to sell will replace a thing that will be vastly more successful than they ever will be on the basis of little more than wishful thinking - in this case NFTs & blockchain.A prediction that the thing that someone is trying to sell will replace a thing that will be vastly more successful than they ever will be on the basis of little more than wishful thinking - in this case AI lawyers and consultants.A prediction that the thing that someone is trying to sell will replace a thing that will be vastly more successful than they ever will be on the basis of little more than wishful thinking - in this case AI-written code.A prediction that the thing that someone is trying to sell will replace a thing that will be vastly more successful than they ever will be on the basis of little more than wishful thinking - in this case AI-written code.

If there one immutable law of the internet, it's the comments section of Kiwiblog being a cesspool. A post saying "~guy's swastika tattoo is a red flag for him being a scumbag" gets some comments that'll make Nazis and Russian propaganda-spinners smile.
Comments on Kiwiblog saying: Nazis are tougher on crime than NZ & having a swastika tattoo isn't an indicator of being a scumbag; I read bullshit Russian propaganda sites and believe them; & aren't people allowed to own WW2 memorabilia anymore?
