The SC ruling was never ever about women's safety. It was transphobes challenging a law that allowed trans people to be counted as their actual gender in diversity quotas. Excluding trans women from women's positions is exactly the kind of thing the SC was imagining when it wrote the judgment.

The title is a little pointed, but I am very serious here. Academics, medical researchers, and other organisations should not collect data on birth sex.
