my wife has a friend who sent Dolly Parton a painting she made & a letter explaining how much Dolly's music meant to her while she was transitioning. On 8/1/26, the Winona Police Department discovered that all eight of our city's Flock cameras were missing. That evening, an officer noted that there'd been no recent activity on the cameras. Officers subsequently checked the various locations where the Flock cameras were placed and found that the poles were cut down near the base. Officers located the poles nearby in the weeds, but the cameras had been removed. As of 8/4/26, the cameras have not been located.
The stolen cameras were stationed in the following areas:
Two near Hwy 61/Bundy Blvd
Two near Hwy 61/Hwy 14
Two near Hwy 14/Knopp Valley Dr
Two near Hwy 43/Homer Rd
The timeframe of the thefts appears to be between July 29th and August 1st.
The cost to replace each camera and pole is approximately $3,000.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.

SAM NEILL The last time I watched it in its totality was sitting beside Princess Di at Leicester Square at the London opening.
On the other side of me was my son Tim - he was 11 and completely swept away by it, but about the time the T-Rex turns up, Tim started to fart. And the draft was drifting across me to royalty! I spent the whole film in a muck sweat, thinking, "Princess Di is being exposed to the horrors of a little boy's fart, but she's going to think it's me. I am going to be subliminally blamed for my son's crimes, and I don't think she'll talk to me afterwards." But she was well brought up and never mentioned it.
JEFF GOLDBLUM I love that story, Sam.
I've heard him tell that a couple of times, and it's just amazing the lengths that he will go to still blame the boy.

A cartoonist named Daniel "Des" Rolando Sanchez Estrada was tried as a terrorist and sentenced to 30 years in prison for having anti-Trump comics in his car. Prosecutors connected him to a 2025 anti-ICE protest he didn't even attend because he was in the same book club as others who were.
