I just think, of all the crazy ideas campaigns we've seen in this country that have succeeded or come close to succeeding, open borders isn't obviously nuts. Abolition, women's suffrage, gay marriage, the Civil Rights movement, ending the war on drugs. All of these had massive headwinds.
