Jason Reifler @jasonreifler.bsky.social · 1hI mostly don't believe the AI existential risk hype (and am modestly upbeat that AI is a net positive). But, it sure would be nice if the framing of that debate could not so subtly shift from: "AI might kill us all" to "The people building AI might kill us all" 020

Jason Reifler @jasonreifler.bsky.social · 29/09/2026Just for the record, I went to at least one Hawks game when I lived in Atlanta. My favorite NBA team (San Antonio Spurs) was in town. Not exactly sure what year though. If I’m ever asked during a Congressional hearing, I’m more apt to answer correctly if framed as a Spurs game. 110

Jason Reifler @jasonreifler.bsky.social · 21/09/2026How bad are the Spurs so this season? 20th in the table is, understatement, not great. But, are they relegation candidates? Probably not. For xG/xGA/xPTS, rank is ~15th. If Brentford game was an outlier (I think/hope it was), then considerably better for xGA (5th best) and xPTS (12th). xG ~16th 4104

Jason Reifler @jasonreifler.bsky.social · 12/09/2026This is bad enough at face value. Jason Reifler @jasonreifler.bsky.social · 01/09/2026I have no idea how good/bad Adarabioyo is. But, data profile suggests positives (aerial, athleticism) that Spurs lack. £7m for backup seems reasonable. Mudryk on loan seems fine? xG+xA ~.45/90, albeit 3 years ago. He'll probably be a bust, but maybe not? He will have Spurs most punchable face. 1100
Jason Reifler @jasonreifler.bsky.social · 30/08/2026Here are my thoughts on Spurs yesterday, in no particular order: 1) Losing sucks, but a 0-2 loss is not reflective of the game as a whole. Spurs held a slight advantage in xG (and that edge was probably more decisive in first half). A 1-1 draw would have fair. 130

Jason Reifler @jasonreifler.bsky.social · 23/08/2026Following up on game thread, here is what I think Spurs should do rest of transfer market considering both long and short term. Jason Reifler @jasonreifler.bsky.social · 23/08/2026Mulling over the reasons for yesterday’s Spurs debacle at Brentford. Curious what people think. 1. Brentford is simply a better team. Jason Reifler @jasonreifler.bsky.social · 20/07/2026I would love Lankshear (or any player) to stay with Spurs if a high likelihood of a PL/CL level player. Regularly selling players at a good but not top level means the academy is succeeding. 161
