The image is of a four panel comic.
The title above the first two panels reads, "Dog Toys".
The first panel shows Sarah, the protagonist, holding a bone shaped dog toy. She says, "Look!"
The second panel shows a dog wagging its tail. There is a speech bubble leading back to Sarah saying "It squeaks!"
The title above the last two panels reads, "Cat Toys".
In panel three we see Sarah again. She says "Come, child."
Panel four shows a cat raising its paws in glee. We see Sarah's hands holding cat nip. We see a speech bubble leading back to Sarah saying "It is time to do drugs".

if you are any kind of creative or artist or writer you *have* to understand sex workers and porn/erotica artists/authors as being members of the same class as us. to the extent society recognizes a difference between "legitimate" art and porn, it's only as a tenuous, convenient, temporary fiction.

Been thinking about one of my favourite poems lately, 'Clancy Of The Overflow', by Banjo Patterson. Particularly this part: (link to full poem in next part)
In my wild erratic fancy visions come to me of Clancy
Gone a-droving "down the Cooper" where the Western drovers go;
As the stock are slowly stringing, Clancy rides behind them singing,
For the drover's life has pleasures that the townsfolk never know.

And the bush hath friends to meet him, and their kindly voices greet him
In the murmur of the breezes and the river on its bars,
And he sees the vision splendid of the sunlit plains extended,
And at night the wond'rous glory of the everlasting stars.
*An excerpt from 'Clancy Of The Overflow" by Banjo Patterson:

I am sitting in my dingy little office, where a stingy
Ray of sunlight struggles feebly down between the houses tall,
And the foetid air and gritty of the dusty, dirty city
Through the open window floating, spreads its foulness over all.

Lack of access to health care, to stable housing, to food, are all types of systemic violence. The problems that stem from these factors are problems that we can prevent. And I believe we can do that, if we choose to.

I'm getting so sick of headlines shrieking that the Fanta Fuhrer did something illegal and that's *TOTALLY gonna be the end of him.* Laws mean nothing unless someone enforces it and holds people to account, and that's the problem the US has right now. Nobody is doing that to the ruling class.

Sam Neill insisting on changing the Australian flag in Event Horizon, and the reasoning behind it, speaks to his character so well. For those who don't know, the reason the flag on Weir's costume has the Aboriginal flag, not the Union flag, is because Sam said he hoped by 2047 we'd have changed it.
