I used to say "not all men" Then it got through my thick skull how unhelpful it is. Especially when blurted out in a pavlovian response to women talking about how men treat them. I used to use the gun analogy to explain to fellow men: you're told to treat every gun as if it's loaded...

In the USA men are saying "we shouldn't ruin people's lives over rape" when people talk about the Cornell 7 (rapists from Cornell University). In Australia we have a governing party proposing new state laws that would create life sentences for rapists if that government is re-elected.

On screen, I love The Batman because it’s dark, moody, and you feel the weight on Batman’s shoulders. In the comics, I’m loving Matt Fractions run because it’s visually light, would be faster paced on screen, and Bruce feels a little lighter, with a glint in his eyes even as he struggles.

I’m not really a big fan of the animated The Dark Knight Returns. It’s fine. The best parts are Peter Weller’s voice, it’s perfect for the older Bruce and his performance is excellent. And Christopher Drakes theme is glorious!
