Walerian Borowczyk's The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Miss Osbourne really is one of the great, genuinely transgressive, genuinely nihilistic films of a type you rarely see any more. Borowczyk does more with filthy bathwater than the majority of filmmakers do with a multimillion $ effects budget.
