Tell me SOMEBODY has written a fantasy Casablanca homage about events in and around a "djinn joint." I will be terribly disappointed if they haven't (and then eagerly await someone filling that gap).

There are a lot of jobs that are 1.) very hard to do 2.) if you took a video of a person doing that job, they are just sort of fiddling around all day.

Night. The House of Chimes - a tower which you might immediately think of as Big Ben - is adrift in the River Thames. It still seems to be keeping time. In the background, a large, alien building looms over the city of London.

Lindz McLeod - THE MISEDUCATION OF CAROLINE BINGLEY is out now! @lindzmcleod.bsky.social · 7h
I've been so busy prepping for my viva that I forgot to promote my latest novella! WE, THE DROWNING follows a young man at the end of the world who has just discovered his mother's ties to a drowning cult. Despite that, it's a vaguely hopeful sci-cli-fi adventure with a pink fairy armadillo!
The photo shows the cover of the book WE, THE DROWNING by Lindz McLeod. The cover features a pale, parched beach with several dead bodies artfully strewn along the shoreline. Several bare trees frame the edges.

Something I often mention when talking about these popular-level magical manuscripts is that a significant portion of their content is reproductive health. Spells for fertility and neonatal care are especially common, but we also have ones for dealing with menstruation and miscarriage.

QRP with your moon art!
A diagram of an Apollo style capsule going around the moon. Captioned:

Question: If a werewolf goes in a rocket to the moon, what happens to them.

This assumes a mission profile similar to that of the successful Apollo moon landings

The moon is divided into dark side and light side, with a "Full moon zone" on the light side. A label notes lunar orbit 60nm above reference, 129 minute period.

The rocket starts saying "Successful lunar orbit insertion." It then enters the Full Moon Zone and says AWOOOOOOO. Then leaving it it says "Oh Whoops"

people think being a supervillain is about doing crimes, but the reality is if you're esoteric enough they often aren't classified as crimes. robbing a bank is illegal, but turning the money into rats and then turning them back once you've caught them? judge doesn't have shit on you. no precedent
