It's just such a well-crafted thriller in a filthy NYC that projected only slightly from the crime-riddled reality of the 70s. It crams so much personality into its characters and sketches its world so well just through costumes and small moments and bits of dialogue.

So Netflix is using "AI" to upscale old movies and shows, with obvious results. Using an algorithm to upscale old video isn't a terrible thing, but to do it right you need to have someone willing to go over every frame. Trouble is, dipshits think it's magic.
