Ice-walled lake plains that look like badly made pancakes, some dissected by gullies, with other weird stagnant ice landforms around them. Taylor County, Wisconsin. I was on a field trip in northern MN where the leaders were talking about applying the Finnish word for pancakes to some of these.
Landscape with several large ice-walled lake plains, flat to gently sloping, often with raised rims, that stand at least a little above surrounding terrain. Formed where there was a lake in stagnant glacial ice. More ice-walled lake plains, these more mound-like with gully dissection. Other odd looking landforms are around them.
