I'm convinced AI is our generation's radium - a discovery with genuinely useful applications in specific, controlled circumstances that we stupidly put in everything from kid's toys to toothpaste until we realised the harm far too late where future generations will ask if we were out of our minds.

A four-panel comic strip featuring a dog and his boss in an office setting. Panel 1: The boss, a man in a suit, says, "So given the demands of the position, we might have to go for an O-U-T-S-I-D-E hire." He has a mug labeled "WORLD'S GOOD-EST BOSS". Panel 2: The boss continues, "Which is why I need you to V-E-T these applicants," as he hands over some papers to the dog, who looks puzzled. Panel 3: The dog, wearing a shirt and tie, says, "Uhhh sorry I'm not following any of this." Panel 4: The boss sighs, "Look I can walk you through—" and the dog excitedly interrupts, shouting "WALK!!" while pointing a paw at the boss. The comic humorously plays on the dog's literal reaction to common words. The artist's signature is "THEEYESINKSONIC".

Courage is knowing it might hurt, and doing it anyway. Stupidity is the same and that's why life is hard. Says Skeletor knowing he’s mostly stupid but sometimes courageous.

The lengths time travellers have gone to to prevent the saxophone being invented are jaw dropping.
A Wikipedia page for the inventor of the saxophone - Adolphe Sax. Sax faced many brushes with death. As a child, he once fell from a height of three floors, hit his head on a stone and was believed dead.[6][unreliable source?] At the age of three,[6][unreliable source?] he drank a bowl full of acidic water, mistaking it for milk, and also swallowed a pin.[7] He received serious burns from a gunpowder explosion[6][unreliable source?] and once fell onto a hot stove.[7] Several times he avoided accidental poisoning and asphyxiation from sleeping in a room where varnished furniture was drying. Another time young Sax was struck on the head by a cobblestone and fell into a river, almost dying.[6][unreliable source?]

His mother once said that "he's a child condemned to misfortune; he won't live".[6

Saw the "OMG why are 40 & 50 year old people even ON social media?" post & my first thought was, "What do you think *should* happen, kid? Should we all just do a Logan's Run?" & then I realized this child has never once in their life heard of Logan's Run & I turned to dust & my ghost is typing this.

First attempt at Pillage this evening. Saxons defending the sleepy hamlet of St. Scopus against perfidious Welsh raiders. Tried out cavalry & Huscarl rules, as well as searching for loot & fire starting (twisted fire starting!). All pretty straightforward.
The hamlet in more peaceful times. Road running through, fields of something green with sheep & chickens doing their thing.Opposing forces. Saxon defenders: Warlord, 2 Huscarls, 5 warriors with full armour & sword, 10 with shield & spear, & 6 slingers. Welsh raiders: Warlord (on horsey), 2 mounted companions, 3 Warriors with sword & shield, 10 with shield & spear, 3 archers.Big scrap in the centre. I eventually replaced the big tree (we call it ‘The World Tree!) with a well so that we could better see what was going on.

Rare footage of St Paul’s Cathedral testing its giant flamethrower
The sun rising over the London skyline this morning, only it’s a very cloudy sky and the sun is visible only as an orange streak of fire that coincidentally seems to be emanating from the spire on the top of St Paul’s dome
