I bumped into a pal I hadn’t seen in ten years today. We were reminiscing about our old office and I definitely think workplaces used to be a lot more craic before non-stop Teams meetings and hot-desking.

Happy Michaelmas! In some parts of Ireland on this day, rent could be paid in geese. If you’re due to pay rent this month, please consider setting a very irritated goose on your landlord in lieu of payment, in the name of upholding important Irish traditions.
A drawing of mine of a goose looking concerned, with a tag around its neck that reads "This month's rent, with thanks".

The mighty Siobhán McSweeney was presented with a print of my Gráinne Mhaol piece by the very lovely Kevin McGahern for her hard work on #TraitorsIRL, after she mentioned that Ireland's pirate queen Gráinne was a big style inspiration for her incredible outfits this season. No better woman! 👑

Miranda Hart: Chronic illness will make Celebrity Traitors 'challenging'
Updated / Tuesday, 22 Sep 2026 14:40

Miranda Hart
Miranda Hart
Miranda Hart has said The Celebrity Traitors will be "challenging" on her body and people will not know if she is "sitting there in pain" because of her chronic illness.

The TV star, 53, best known for popular BBC sitcom Miranda, has spoken about being diagnosed with Lyme disease.

The disease can be easily treated if caught early, but Hart did not know what was causing her to feel unwell for some time, leading her to be diagnosed with Myalgic encephalomyelitis or chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS).

My Rage Against the Machine/Les Mis mashup is complete. This is my interpretation of the quilt guild’s summer challenge “quilt with your interpretation and/or feelings towards our current ‘democracy’” all hand stitched.
Quilt hanging on a card catalog. Neutral background with navy cursive appliqué “Do you hear thr people sing?” The background is embroidered in red starting light and getting bolder the lyrics to “killing in the name” the quilting effect is a focused sunburst from the center.

"How We Disappear" by Alessandra Olanow January, 2026 #poem #poetry
HOW WE DISAPPEAR

I am in the store touching things.
Linen napkins, a blue bowl.
The world is on fire and I am choosing
between two kinds of soap.

Everyone here is doing this, filling carts
with small comforts while somewhere a child
goes to bed hungry, while the earth heats,
while men make decisions about who gets to live.

I know what this is, this careful arranging
while everything collapses.
This is how we survive.
And also how we disappear.
