I indeed got auto-verified on Discord but the way it suddenly displays in the settings made it optically appear to me like an actual setting with options. I think the bees are wrapping up the season, one of the lavenders has a bunch of new blooms going now but the bees have not been checking back on it much this week. Glad they liked the Veronica and the Enzian, though. It’s important to provide flowers until they really don’t come back.

This is particularly funny because Pyramid Head‘s last canonical release appearance was 2024 of a remake made in 2023 of a game that is over 20 years old and somehow its devs managed fine without these things because they weren’t available, and they had skills instead.

recently my friend's comics professor told her that it's acceptable to use gen AI for script-writing but not for art, since a machine can't generate meaningful artistic work. meanwhile, my sister's screenwriting professor said that they can use gen AI for concept art and visualization, but that it won't be able to generate a script that's any good. and at my job, it seems like each department says that AI can be useful in every field except the one that they know best.

It's only ever the jobs we're unfamiliar with that we assume can be replaced with automation. The more attuned we are with certain processes, crafts, and occupations, the more we realize that gen AI will never be able to provide a suitable replacement. The case for its existence relies on our ignorance of the work and skill required to do everything we don't.

i get why AI is so depressing to me. because covid already shrunk my world to almost nothing, where almost all of my life revolves around socializing and watching videos on the internet (which is being ruined by AI) and creating creative works through coding (which is being ruined by AI), often using open source tools and libraries (which are being ruined by AI)

i already had so little and now even that is being rotted away before my eyes
