There is no shortcut. There is no one neat trick. Orchestras have been around for hundreds of years, and if there was a sustainability silver bullet, we would have found it by now. Sustainability is found in never, ever taking your foot off the gas, either artistically or financially.

That really is the beginning and the end of it. If you want to have big-time symphony orchestras - and by the way, nothing says you HAVE to have one - you need to understand that they are enormously expensive and employ hundreds of highly skilled people who will need to earn a living.

A nonfiction book written in, let’s say, the year 1795, is most likely still around in a library somewhere and every other work it referred to is probably accessible in some archive as well. A nonfiction book written in 2007 probably cites a bunch of urls that are dead or rotted beyond recognition.

It took me over three months to complete this piece. The hardest part was finding the thimble holder in a pattern that even remotely matched the rest of the chatelaine. Given the vintage and the quantity of sterling on it, it's a $1600 piece, but it is DONE.

we are watching a massive transfer of wealth during an era of massive wealth creation (however much it might be just paper money it’s powerful) — reinscribing gender during this moment is a choice about who will be a citizen for the next three hundred years.

seeing conservative men debate how to dress online is very funny. can't dress up or wear interesting casualwear bc you've made any visible interest in dress to be a sign of homosexuality. but you feel the need to dress better bc you've linked dress to respectability. a prison of your own making.

Watching the bus tracking app tell me my bus has departed Forest Hills on time—when I have been waiting for it in the correct location for ten minutes and it has not materialized—is a special kind of maddening #MBTA experience. The alternate bus means a 3/4 mile walk carrying too much weight 😡

The image is of a four panel comic. The title reads "Poltergeist".
In the first panel we see a woman with a worried expression on her face. She says, "stuff keeps moving around my house."
In the second panel the same woman says "I'm terrified. I can't sleep."
In the third panel we see a ghost holding a candle and a pillow that reads "live laugh love". The ghost is zooming through the house.
In the fourth panel we see the same ghost hanging up a frame and thinking, "home decor is my passion".

I came up with this idea of a spiritual “spine,” and complications at this point are going to form a simultaneous upper/lower limit on who we are / have been / could be. This work depicts the moment the amulet is breaking in which Lilith is released.
The image is labeled “reference guide for Lilith amulet.”

The same design with five sections highlighted in different colors (broken outside bone, two sections of writing on outside bone, inner blob figure, writing on inner blob figure).

Key at the bottom reads:

Blue —C1 (“Atlas” Verteba), First on the spine — breaking to release Lilith
Pink — Names of the Fathers/Mothers (standard part of Lilith Amulets)
Orange — Morning Prayer (Birkot Hashachar) - thanking God for not being made a slave/woman, also for freeing the captive and straightening the bent
Purple — Lilith (standard appearance in amulets)
Green — Psalm 118:5-6: “from the narrow place I called to God, and God answered me from the Divine Expanse // GOD is on my side, I have no fear; what can mortals (adam) do to me?”
An actual (traditional) example of a Lilith amulet: a silver medallion with the outline of a blob like human figure in the center, she is surrounded by etched Hebrew writing and her body shape is covered with etched Hebrew writing as well.

NEW DESIGN: Lilith/C1 Amulet Lilith was the first wife of Adam and became regarded as a demoness and new mothers were given amulets such as these to ward her off Here she is being freed from being trapped in the vertebra where our head meets the rest of our body www.bonfire.com/free-lilith/
White background: A cracked vertebra with a dark blob like figure in the middle. Both the figure and the vertebra are covered in Hebrew writing. The right corner is signed “m.nutz”
