I'm reading the best horror novel for this time in our lives. The Haar by David Sodergren. It's about a rich investor trying to buy up a quaint Scottish village to put in a golf course & they are so awful to the 84 year old female protag - not sure, but I think they will regret this. Can't wait.

The cat has got into the habit of coming to meow very loudly in my face so I follow her to the bedroom to give her cuddles on the bed. The dog is now refusing to go to bed in the evening unless I walk her to the bed and give her cuddles when she gets there. Totally co-ordinating this bullshit.

There’s a woman at my nearby park that hangs out and if you wait long enough, no more than five minutes, a dog will be within eyeshot and go apeshit when seeing this lady. Apparently every dog in the neighborhood knows and loves this woman. They run right to her, dragging their owners. Beautiful.

Gotta be honest, the nostalgia for Blockbuster mystifies me. Blockbuster sucked. 20 volumes of the same new video (whether it sucked or not) x 5, yet you couldn't find something more niche, or older. Selection was terrible. Mom & Pop shops were where to find the gems like Videorama in Brooklyn.
