At this high resolution, we also caught something new: Using the new #HAK-Actin #UExM probe, we saw that #Actin accumulates at the furrow base before compartments fully seal ➡️ they're still open at the bottom. ➡️ The #multicellular epithelium-like stage is shorter than we previously proposed.

🚨New paper out today in @acs.org ACS Nano, showing how expansion microscopy can visually quantify the cell surface receptor turnover mediated by signalling & receptor organising machineries on the surfaces of endosomes, some of the smallest organelles in cells. 🧪 🔬 1/ pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/...
