Important point: the residents are those of the Garvaghy Road, not Portadown as a whole. They are perfectly content letting the Order march anywhere else. Just not there, and for good reason. I don’t think it is an unreasonable demand on the part of the residents to just ask to move a tiny bit.

I am filled with rage for Garvaghy Road residents today. 100% stand with them. I can't believe they are being put through this again. And for what? So some men can force everyone back into violence, because their egos demand it? Can we stop going along with the farce that this is 'tradition"?

AS temperatures soared on Friday, Essex fire authorities reported things were so bad that a man's pants had caught fire.
The individual, identified as Nigel Farage, had claimed Essex police had told him to keep away from his by-election declaration.
