As WCK teams in Nepal are able to reach more communities affected by the flooding, we’re expanding our efforts & distributing staples like fresh produce, eggs & rice. Restoring access to essentials people rely on empowers communities to cook for themselves & fuel their own recovery. #ChefsForNepal

Wouldn't it be wonderful if instead of demonising desperate people the Piddlers of Piddlington engaged with them. Offered support, offered some activities to help pass the time, sports equipment, books, board games, jigsaws, packs of cards etc and made them feel welcome and safe.

I would love to ask a prominent BBC journalist to give me an example of an illegitimate concern. Is seems to me that it has become a question not of fact, logic, or ethics but of volume. If a big enough proportion of a village was anxious about Bigfoot or Chemtrails, BBC would cover it in a way...

I hope that women’s genuine fear of endemic male violence is accepted as legitimate by society? If true, then what we are seeing today is that the far right has used women’s fears to legitimise and stoke racism. Isn’t that just sick?

Yes indeed the Crowborough experience is a total repudiation of this wild hysteria. In Crowborough they got whipped up, so they all inevitably marched, the claimants moved in anyway, aaaand… nothing. Yet the media circus has long since moved on to places like Piddington
