I guess maybe you throw GitHub copilot and 365 on top? Are they really making that much? This is all pretty stinky. Also $10bn is OpenAI

.......wait. Analysts believe Microsoft will only make $11.5bn this year in AI services. Microsoft themselves said they were at "$13bn in annualised revenue" in their January earnings! Maybe this is why they didn't report their ARR last earnings? www.microsoft.com/en-us/invest...
But taking costs out will only take Microsoft so far. The company still needs to make AI more than a bit player on its income statement.

Analysts estimate that AI services within Microsoft’s Azure cloud-computing arm generated revenue of $11.5 billion for the just-ended fiscal year, according to consensus estimates from Visible Alpha. That’s more than double the prior year but still only about 4% of the company’s total annual sales."We are innovating across our tech stack and helping customers unlock the full ROl of Al to capture the massive opportunity ahead," said Saty Nadella, chairman and chief executive officer of Microsoft. "Already, our Al business has
surpassed an annual revenue run rate of $13 billion, up 175% year-over-year.*l

Vox became an accidental training ground for YouTube’s best video journalists. With creative freedom and no reliance on Facebook metrics, they built skills fast. But without a solid business model, they left, taking their talent and reshaping online journalism on their own terms.

Trump subverting the census is one of the biggest threats to democracy. Congressional & legislative redistricting & Electoral College apportionment depend on it. The 2030 census takes place just over a year after Trump’s term ends. Even if a Dem won in 2028, they may not be able to undo the damage
