remembering Joe Biden’s 2022 60 Minutes interview
How would you say your mental focus is?
President Joe Biden (15:58):
Oh, it's focused. Look, I have trouble even mentioning, even saying to myself in my own head the number of years. I no more think of myself as being as old as I am than fly. I mean, it's just not... I haven't observed anything in terms of... There's not things I don't do now that I did before, whether it's physical or mental or anything else.
Speaker 1(16:26):
You have had a string of legislative successes recently-
President Joe Biden (16:32):
How's an old guy do that?

it's not helpful to accuse everything of being a psyop, but it is helpful to remember they're probably pretty fucking common on platforms like this

it's *marketed* as using the same metal the drones use. the drones another one of his companies sell. it's military industrial complex supporter merchandise. I don't mean that as some kind of woke long-bow-to-draw criticism; I mean it literally. it's military industrial complex supporter merchandise

A version of the "Aella's birthday gangbang" Sankey diagram but it's about Bluesky posters thinking about posting Sankey diagram jokes, leading from "thought about Sankey diagram joke" through various iterations of workshopping and writing the joke (with various dead ends due to forgetting about it, losing interest, etc). Eventually at the end the joke is finally posted; some posters do numbers with it, some don't, some came in a fluffer

I am seeing posts implying (rather than clearly stating) some connection between AI executives and the Aella gangbang chart. it's all very "do your own research" with all due respect, no. I won't be doing my own research on that. expose me to the horrors yourself, cowards.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Moodle Champions explaining how to drag and drop files into a VLE. I’ve watched Learning Technology Advocates demo mentimeter in the dark of a sparsely populated lecture theatre. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.

the energy of a supernova is equivalent to something like 480db. I'm pretty sure at this point you've probably generated a black hole or something like that.

busco quadnary @imaghost.ooo · 04/09/2026
the post being responded to is quoting a noise level of 605 decibels which I'm not completely sure but I think you're dealing with the sort of physics that would generate a black hole that consumes the galaxy
op text: Please rewatch the video, the monitor clearly records 590 to 605 dB. NOT 60 dB like you claim. The level he records is 3x HIGHER than a leaf blower, which is about as illegal as it gets in residential areas. I never said lower lmao.

Hard to argue.
Being on Bluesky doesn't deliver delirious highs, but it also doesn't lead to crushing lows. Its users are almost entirely Twitter exiles who quit post-Musk, which means there isn't a cornucopia of insane takes found on Old Twitter. The main factions are annoying leftists who hate Chuck Schumer, annoying liberals who hate Chuck Schumer and annoying furries who hate Chuck Schumer.

in theory a $2bn datacentre running an experimental closed source security specialist LLM could hack the NSA in reality a Dell Optiplex with a 2060 Super could hack half the gym booking forms in existence by accident despite the lower stakes the latter is, hilariously, a real reportable problem

busco quadnary @imaghost.ooo · 09/08/2026
the reality is that what he's described is extremely possible, it's just not very impressive. both these things can be true. whereas the sorts of things openai and anthropic have been talking about in this context are impressive but not particularly widely possible
110
busco quadnary @imaghost.ooo · 09/08/2026
no, but that's the currently the only context where a model would interact with a website in this way. I think this kind of outcome is extremely likely in the hands of anyone given access to this kind of thing, but most people aren't running their own unsandboxed openseek models at home.
100
busco quadnary @imaghost.ooo · 09/08/2026
a simple enough attack that it's easy to imagine it being the result of a model looking for a way to complete an instruction - regardless of whether or not it was instructed to do it maliciously

busco quadnary @imaghost.ooo · 09/08/2026
oh I fully believe it's PR when we're talking about VM sandbox breakouts and shit like that. they're completely full of shit. accidental webrequest exploits are pretty easy to believe because that's just the underlying way everything interacts with the internet
210
busco quadnary @imaghost.ooo · 09/08/2026
the fact that it's piss easy is sort of irrelevant. it's also a ridiculously common flaw
100
busco quadnary @imaghost.ooo · 09/08/2026
charlimit on that one, but my point is that an LLM can do this legitimately accidentally. this is the sort of exploit that countless websites online have, and the security is usually provided through interface context. the LLM does not operate in that context.
100
busco quadnary @imaghost.ooo · 09/08/2026
I think the right way to look at it is that this is the sort of exploit that someone with a vague understanding of web requests could find and exploit themselves. You could explain how this was done to the average person, and execute it with nothing more than the development tools included in Chrome
