I think we've over corporatised and over optimised work to the point that it's actively hostile for people who are a little different. I have struggled my entire life because of my hearing loss, in ways that can't really be fully understood. I had no idea I was fighting another thing too.

I do think that contrary to popular belief, workplaces used to be far more tolerant of differences or weird employee behaviour. Because the stories my dad tells me about what people did in his office in the 80s-00s are like INSANE and you would be immediately fired for them these days
