Hate it when I have to work on transfer deadline day. Spend all day sneakily hitting refresh until there's fifteen minutes to go and I suddenly end up panic buying a new assistant for the IT department.

yesterday i went to what might (sadly) be one of the last open houses for the Nuclear Ship Savannah, docked at Pier 13 in Baltimore. she has been well-maintained and was in incredible condition. her reactor has been removed, and you can walk through the former reactor containment tank!
the side of the boat with her beautiful "atoms for peace" ship logothe deck map on the wall in the entryway, each deck is a metal plate slightly wrapped around the wall. a welcome board reads
"Welcome aboard NS SAVANNAH. Celebrating 73 years of Atoms for Peace. We still like Ike. (and dates this year you can visit. another public site visit is for november 14th, their website mentions september 12th for guided tours)on one of the decks, a warm wooden door leads into the veranda; a dining room with a dance floor and bar, and big windows facing the stern of the ship. her decks are a lovely shade of tealish greenthe Savannah's atom log is often found on doors and floors, such as this one, leading to the Eisenhower Room (for presentations) the walls at turquoise and the glass is tempered/frosted so only the logo is clear and see-through. the frame of the door is metal and the handle says "Pull"

The problem with Ambient Music is that for most people, granular samples or synth pads washed in reverb are too far from normal music to sit unobtrusively in the background. In practice something more like Oasis or late period RHCP calls less attention to itself and in that way is much more ambient.

Now that social media is being banned for young people, they will have more time to spend in the UK's well funded libraries, youth clubs, and other third spaces, or in the parks and shopping centres where they are welcomed and viewed with trust and positivity.
