A two panel meme of the Simpsons. The top panel has kirk van houten gesturing to a race care bed. The text reads "im an AI guy. How many local models do YOU run?" The bottom panel is homer with a pope hat photoshopped onto his head. The bottom text reads "I run the catholic church."

one of the worst things tech marketers have done in recent years is bunging anything remotely adjacent to machine learning under the same banner as generative LLM stuff. So many actually useful locally-run tools getting tarred with a very foul brush.

This era of Star Wars stuff has given me things I love like Andor, R1, TLJ, Solo, Dr Aphra (and that Vader comic series she came from), Rebels, Fallen Order, Outlaws, Battlefront 2, Acolyte, Zero Squadron and all of the multi-media stuff of High Republic. I'm not gonna celebrate SW maybe collapsing.

The image is of a four panel comic.
The first panel shows Sarah, the protagonist, holding a red ball labeled "A SILLY MEME".
The second panel shows Sarah taking the ball and going through a door labeled "GROUP CHAT".
The third panel shows a group of women sitting together and consoling one woman in the center. The woman in the center is saying "...And that's how it happened. It's been the worst day of my life."
The fourth panel shows Sarah standing in the doorway behind them awkwardly holding the red ball.

Chess is hard for humans, but not for computers.
One day, it will be fully solved like checkers.
Between now and then, or even after, have fun.
People enjoy many games/sports where machines are vastly betterThere are more possible chess games, by about 40 orders of magnitude, than atoms in the observable universe. To solve chess, you'd have to map them all. Good luck.

Wrong, all legal chess positions are ~40 oom less than the estimated atoms in the Universe. And ASI will figure out ways to solve and compress that are far beyond what we could possibly comprehend.

A lot of "well I'm boycotting it anyway" quotes sort of missing the point that a boycott is a specific tool you deploy with a purpose. I think it's the right move to sidestep trying to make a public dent in what *will* be an immensely high-selling game in favour of directly asking for legal support.

The road to fascism was paved with "Reddit atheist" and "shrill feminist" and "blue hair and pronouns". The vanguard wasn't the rabid reactionaries. It was the "normals", "apoliticals", who tolerate occasional sexist comments but mock the "cringe" of well-meaning and earnest but awkward people.

No fuck off we're not calling this "Millennial grey" this shit was dictated completely by boomer retiree house flippers we absolutely had NO say in this
Millennial grey

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A kitchen with beige grey floors, drab walls, brushed steel appliances, and grey granite countertops.
Grey floors and furnishings are said to appeal to Millennial tastes.
Millennial grey refers to a desaturated colour scheme that is said to appeal to the interior design sensibilities of the Millennial Generation in the early 21st century.[1] Cultural historian Kassia St. Clair attributed its widespread adoption to a desire among Millennials for "a flexible, sensible choice that will last years, hide any stains, and can be adapted to different schemes."[1] Some have diagnosed Millennial grey as a reaction to the warm hues of the late 20th century.[2]

Millennial grey is polarising, particularly when used with imitation-wood-texture sheet vinyl flooring, which many describe as depressing, soulless, or corporate.[3][4] Although attributed to Millennials, the grey colour scheme is often chosen by house flippers, vacation rental owners, or other people who do not actually live in the greyed properties.[3] Thus, the occupant of the property—Millennial or not—has little say in its colour scheme, particularly when deployed for fixtures such as flooring.[4] The greying may have been driven, in part, by a desire to prepare properties for sale in a manner thought to be least offensive to the average buyer.[5] Given the housing crises gripping many countries in the early to mid-21st century, buyers and renters may feel they have no choice but to accept a property decked in Millennial grey.[4]

To the extent that Millennial grey is said to be enjoyed by Millennials, it is also said to be loathed by Generation Z.[1][2]

A plothole is when you see that a knife is missing, and then later on you see a character holding a knife, but the detective does not say, "She picked up the knife." You, the viewer, presumably a clod of earth with no concept of object permanence, are confused.
From Screenrant: Glass Onion wouldn't be a murder mystery without its red herring. Elements the audience expects to be important but are merely just a distraction are quite common in detective fiction. One major red herring was during the blackout scene when Blanc stumbles into Miles' kitchen. There he sees a knife is missing from a knife set, and he grumbles about the danger of it. However, the knife never returns to the main plot, and Blanc never brings it up later. Eagle-eyed viewers will see Birdie is holding a knife, but it's never addressed, so audiences never know what it's for or when she could have gotten it.
