The thing about writing tie-ins is, for better or worse, I treat it like Supermarket Sweep. The Lower Decks book might be the one time I get to write Trek, so I am going to cram EVERY Trek thing I've wanted to do in there, holding nothing back. Anyway, Burnham's doing this after the next election.

after the game: i can't stop thinking about twilight imperium, literally the only thing i want to do right now is play twilight imperium. i'll be telling stories of this game for literally the rest of my gaming life. so what if it took 1 hour per player, it was one of the most epic games i've ever played!

There's a fab book that talks about life on the streets in Victorian London and the Mendicity Society that were basically exactly these people, like cartoonishly cruel and absolutely desperate to make unfortunate people's lives worse, *on principle*.

Watching series 3 of Vigil and I am enjoying that, despite this being season 3, the leads being professional police officers, and the violence not being all that graphic, when people start firing guns it feels shocking, rather than like action movie paintball.
