I actually can't believe that Luxon said "cry me a river" in response to cost of living crisis. Until I look it up on Hansard. Yep Luxon actually said it. Talk about being out of touch with reality. #nzpol
Hansard 15 September 2026 Oral Questions #2:

Rt Hon Chris Hipkins: When real wages have fallen, power prices have gone up, insurance prices have gone up, rates have gone up, insurance has gone up—all by more than 20 percent, under his leadership, in just the last two years—will he now admit that the cost of living crisis is not only not over; it’s getting worse under his leadership?

Rt Hon CHRISTOPHER LUXON: What I’d say, again—you know, cry me a river. But I’d say if that member was serious about supporting people, why didn’t you support tax relief for the first time for working New Zealanders? Why don’t you come out and support a council rates cap? Why don’t you come out and support structural separation for supermarkets? No idea.

#NZpol If the phrase "belongs in the fiction section" sounds familiar, yes, it's the same BS when "Dirty Politics" was released ⏬ Williams and Farrar withdrew *slightly* from speaking/ slots then — riiiiiight up until they got asked back *AGAIN AND AGAIN* to give 'insights'. Rinse BS, Repeat BS.
Two stalls set out and a crowd gathers. One stall displays "Comforting Lies", the other "Unpleasant Truths".

The former is manned by Jordan Williams of the TPU and yes, that's David Farrar, and yes, that is the pic of him dressed as Jimmy Saville, the pedo, and yes, it's weird anyone would dress up like him even as a joke, even weirder this happened *after* he was outed for being a pedo.

But then again, David may just want to feel more comfortable at those "Princess Parties" he helped oversee (VOMIT). Makes the "meat on legs" as one attendee put it easier to catch Davey?

Jordan Williams expounds and exhorts his (faux) ignorance of anything and dishes out words like "It's all lies" and other BS to the crowd.

On the other side, a lonely figure mans the "Unpleasant Truths" stall, with three of Nicky Hagers books showing: "The Hollow Men", about the then-Brash led National Party and its underhanded tactics in tandem with the Exclusive Bretheren (among others), "Dirty Politics" which covered the Key-led National government and the dirty machinations of Jordan Williams, Simon Lusk, David Farrar, Cameron Slater and others... and lastly, the latest release, "Dirty Work", featuring, again, Jordan Williams and David Farrar as more principle players this time.

And of course... the media, and assorted hangers-on, are readily publishing excuses and diversions of course, because, that's... what they do.

lmao the whole thing is on public record. Costello caught lying to parliament and misrepresenting what Ngarewa-Packer said, but I guess that's more acceptable than pointing out how inconsistently rules about unparliamentary language is being applied
ASSISTANT SPEAKER (Maureen Pugh): I’ll remind the member that we prefer to keep the language parliamentary.

HIGHLIGHTED:Debbie Ngarewa-Packer: Oh, now we do. What about “cunt”?

Hon JULIE ANNE GENTER (Green—Rongotai) (16:59): In my electorate, Rongotai, we have an incredibly diverse, vibrant community called Newtown. It’s not the city centre, but it’s like—

Hon Casey Costello: Point of order, Madam Speaker. I apologise to the member for interrupting her speech, but as the Speaker gave a direction, the Māori Party member then used the word—which I will not use—that begins with “c, in order to use it as a reflection. The fact that it has been used once in this House does not make it common use. I find it particularly offensive and disrespectful to you, Madam Speaker.

ASSISTANT SPEAKER (Maureen Pugh): Can I just clarify where that comment was directed?Debbie Ngarewa-Packer: Well, speaking to the point of order.

ASSISTANT SPEAKER (Maureen Pugh): When I’ve finished with the Hon Casey Costello.

Hon Casey Costello: It was the Māori Party member to my right.

ASSISTANT SPEAKER (Maureen Pugh): Directed where?

(HIGHLIGHTED) Hon Casey Costello: It was directed at you, Madam Speaker.

ASSISTANT SPEAKER (Maureen Pugh): OK. Thank you.

Debbie Ngarewa-Packer: Speaking to the point of order, yes, it was me, and three times the word “cunt” has been used in this House by the Government—

Hon Member: Oh!

Debbie Ngarewa-Packer: —by the Government—

ASSISTANT SPEAKER (Maureen Pugh): That’s enough. I don’t actually like it—
