I do find it funny that the only bit of the "inappropriate hymn" quoted in the article is a direct bible quote.

The choir sang a specially composed "Canticle of Indignation" as clergy distributed wafers and wine during communion. At the end of the piece, the choir silently walked out. The canticle's lyrics included “Lord, how long shall the ungodly triumph?" and “How long shall all wicked doers speak so disdainfully?"
Simon Ogdon, its author, wrote on Facebook that he was "honoured to be in the same position as #banksy in having my art publicly censured". He added: There is a long history of protest through art, even through church music... and I am proud to be part of that. One of the clearest signs of tyranny is its desire to silence dissent and opposition, and that can never be tolerated."

Today is Jury Rights Day, when we commemorate the case of William Penn in 1670 which laid the foundation for the right that jurors have still today to conscientiously acquit someone by jury nullification.

When quakers William Penn and William Mead were acquited by a jury for unlawful preaching, the judge imprisoned the jurors.

The resulting case established the right of jurors to vote "not guilty" from conscience and not be punished for it.

Empathy is under attack. Meanwhile, the Department of Defense may become the Department of War and ICE arrested nearly 500 workers at an EV factory in Georgia. Losing empathy makes it easier to destroy lives, families, communities. This is a really, really bad thing. We can’t lose empathy.
