Great new stat from @senatebudget.bsky.social: of the $140 billion that Trump & Republicans gave ICE & CBP in the Big Beautiful Bill, $103 billion is still unobligated as of the end of March. Now they’re asking for another $70 billion even though about 75% of the OBBBA money still remains unused.

Here is my thread on Trump's budget request, which I'll update throughout the day. He calls to cut domestic discretionary funding to the lowest level in the modern era. Trump's budget reimagines Americans' relationship with our govt, and proposes a country that does less to help people get by.
NDD less VA medical, 1986-present. roughly flat-ish until 2020 around 3%, and then down down down down to 2% last year. And then Trump is proposing taking it down to 1.7%.

Fun discovery: on an apples-to-apples basis, Trump's tariff taxes are larger than the tax increases in the House-passed version of Build Back Better in 2021. Of course, the distribution of Biden's tax hikes on corporations and millionaires are different from Trump's tariffs.
Build Back Better raises $2.1T and Trump's tariffs raise $2.6T.

I have a meeting today with Russ Vought, he of PROJECT 2025 Fame, to determine which of the many Democrat Agencies, most of which are a political SCAM, he recommends to be cut, and whether or not those cuts will be temporary or permanent. I can't believe the Radical Left Democrats gave me this unprecedented opportunity. They are not stupid people, so maybe this is their way of wanting to, quietly and quickly, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! Democrats should focus like a laser on the issue of affordability. Donald Trump is 25 points underwater on the issue of inflation. Since 2024, there has been a 34-point swing against him. Trump promised to lower costs but instead he has driven up prices for working families and small businesses.

We looked 🔎at the final CBO score of the bill and tallied up what could go to kids (like CTC and Trump accounts) what’s taken away (like kids share of SNAP ) and layered in the fact that the next generation👶 faces a growing burden from debt payments as it wasn’t paid for.💸 /2
