I used to work for Stripe (different org), so I guess take that caveat into account with my opinion here. I don’t think this is LLM-type “AI” stuff, just your traditional machine-learning “fraud prevention” AI that looks at a lot of data and tries to help prevent fraud. That’s been around for years

I always found this feature never worked that well in practice anyway, because the first thing most companies did after you signed up with Apple was show a form that said “ok cool, now give us your real email.” (Still not a great look, though.)

First of all they are louder than you think. You might look at a childrens book and think they say Oink in a pleasant way. But they are basically screaming the whole time and if it's your farm you have to be there, so it's just pink screaming.
Then even if you're milking cows you have to hear the pink screaming.
Chickens on the other hand will make Buckaw sounds and Cackadoo but there is no screaming. So if we are picking one or the other it's going to be chickens for me. One last thing is they're not slippery and they are easier to pick up. If you try to grab a pig it might be 400 pounds. And guess what when you try. More screaming

Goodhart’s law state when a metric becomes the target, it stops being a useful metric. That’s what AI token leaderboards are. They push tech workers to burn thousands a month competing on AI usage consumption. It’s nonsense, like judging salespeople by number of customers called. It won’t last.
