I’m nearly 60 and I’m for dropping the triple lock if it means that we can do other things as a country. But it helps that I’m part the final/average salary cohort…not the case for later generations tbf.

Can’t eat a sandwich until you subscribe to sandwiches. Can’t eat today’s sandwich until it has applied daily sandwich updates. Sandwich now has adverts even though you paid for ad-free sandwich. Can pay again to have less sandwich adverts. Now you can eat the sandwich, but it’s smaller.

Their promises of more jobs, more trade, more power for Britain have proved a con, Michael Heseltine writes as the Brexit vote 10th anniversary approaches. Never have so few done so much damage to so many with so little ability to execute what they lied about. Their scandalously false prospectus has turned to dust and ashes. Naturally, they blame everyone but themselves.

That the UK government remains passive in the face of literal pogroms on the streets is amazing. You need to get off fucking X now. You need to start regulating it and other social media platforms in conjunction with the rest of Europe. /1

Went to see a show at one of our posh summer opera houses and came across this rather random sight… Tbh, I don’t it’s there by way of a tribute to Ed M. (It was a free dress rehearsal just in case anyone thinks I was doing a Rayner).
