making bitter orange peels jam
An illustration by Spindle of the characters Asimov, a half-elf woman with white hair peeling a bitter orange with a curved knife, while looking at the skewered orange peel her gf, Ottilie (a human with brown/orange hair), is showing to her.

Lore wise: Otti is a farm girl at heart, born and raised on one (Asi's a city gal), so this is one her fav ways to spend time with Asi, making her favourite home jam

I love fall so much. I've lived in Vermont my whole life and foliage season still seems like such a completely bonkers and beautiful thing to happen every year. It never gets old. 🍂
Photo of a pile of leaves on vibrant dark green moss. I collected lots of fallen leaves of different colors from different plants and trees and arranged them in an egg-shaped gradient going from green at the top to yellow and then orange and then red to darkest reds at the bottom.

may you be filled with the confidence and verve of this “corpulent rearing steed”
DIEGO RODRÍGUEZ DE SILVA Y VELAZQUEZ (1599-1660)
Caballo blanco
1634-1638
White Horse

Oil on canvas
This corpulent rearing steed with both forelegs off the ground has long been considered the one listed in the inventory of assets that Velázquez left in his studio at the Casa del Tesoro, a building beside the Alcazar in Madrid, after his death. It is drawn with the skill and style that characterised Philip IV's court painter, demonstrating his ability to produce a lifelike representation with a minimum of technical resources. It is clearly a finished work, pending the addition of a rider in the saddle, although it may have been intended as a model for other equestrian portraits. The picture is documented in the Alcazar until 1700, but at some point it disappeared from the Royal Collections and was not recovered until 1848, when Isabella II bought it fromDIEGO RODRÍGUEZ DE SILVA Y VELAZQUEZ (1599-1660)

4-panel comic by War and Peas. Panel 1: Slutty Witch walks through a supermarket on her phone, her black cat Lord Nibbles at her feet. The vampire remarks, "Looks like everyone's a witch nowadays." Lord Nibbles jumps in his shopping cart. Panel 2: The vampire pushes the shopping cart with the cat inside and says to the witch "You should be glad. Witches are cool now." Panel 3: The vampire happily says, "Just like sucking people off is cool now, too!" Panel 4: Lord Nibbles in the cart looks mortified. "You've GOT to stop calling it that."

Restorative justice also has huge limitations in the context of sexual violence. The perpetrator must confess. There cannot be a structural power disparity between victim and perpetrator. It is not safe for intimate partner violence. It is too time-intensive for victims with multiple perpetrators.

also: a reminder that restorative justice is definitionally within the control of the person who has been harmed and not ANYONE ELSE. it cannot be a route chosen for them, and they have full control over the process. otherwise it’s just sparkling mediation

The number of Platner deadenders who constantly make comments like this on Troy Jackson related posts on Reddit is driving me insane. Like what is this "passion" that's missing exactly? The parasocial relationship people built with the Nazi tattoo guy was and is ludicrous.
Honestly I've been pretty underwhelmed by Troy's campaign recently. All of his videos seem to start with him giving a kind of exasperated sigh before launching into a canned pitch. I'm not seeing his big messages communicated in a meaningful way. Granted, I don't watch TV much so I don't really see any of those ads. But what I'm seeing online has been a little flat of late.

Say what you will about Planter, and I'm not saying he shouldn't have dropped out, but he knew how to drive home his message at every opportunity and create genuine passion around a topic.
