Declaring peace while punting on all points of contention and signing an international agreement with no intention of following it then lying about what it said and what adversaries agreed to has apparently failed. How did that not work? So many prominent people thought it would work.

The secret of American politics is that the “far left” is right about basically everything but is deliberately marginalized by status quo defenders. It’s only when truth becomes utterly unavoidable that things change—or maybe now they don’t because post-Buckley, big money owns our democracy.

AI is creating waves by automating bad decision making, poor quality writing, slapdash research, and mediocre art. The fact it is perceived as revolutionary tells us a lot about our terrible middle managers and their slapdash decision making, poor quality research, and desire to make bad "art".

Even accepting the premise that AI produces useful writing (which no one should), using AI in education is like using a forklift at the gym. The weights do not actually need to be moved from place to place. That is not the work. The work is what happens within you.

This is dead accurate.
Myalgic
Encephalomyelitis
(ME)
How ill are people with ME? In mild cases, people lose 50% or more of their function,
their symptoms don't allow them to function normally. Most people would consider having to decrease
their activity by 50% due to illness severe, not mild! Moderate cases of ME cannot work, are mostly housebound and often cannot care for themselves fully
or need to use a wheelchair out of doors. Severe cases are bedbound, with many
debilitating symptoms and very low quality of life. Very severe cases are paralyzed, cannot tolerate any
stimuli or being touched, need tubefeeding or oxygen.
They are some of the sickest people on Earth.

KNOW YOUR PROTEST RIGHTS:
1. You don't need a permit to protest in response to breaking news and you don't need a permit to march in the streets or along sidewalks, as long as you're not obstructing traffic or access to buildings.
2. When you are lawfully present in any public space, you have the right to photograph anything in plain view, including federal buildings and the police.
3. If you believe your rights have been violated, when you can, write down everything you remember, get contact information for witnesses, and take photographs of any injuries.
4. If you get stopped by the police, ask if you're free to go. If they say yes, you have the right to walk away.
5. If you get arrested, you have a right to ask why. Otherwise, say you wish to remain silent and ask for a lawyer immediately.
Don't sign, say or agree to anything without a lawyer present.

IT'S NO ACCIDENT THAT: You learned about Helen Keller instead of W.E.B. DuBois You learned about the Watts and L.A. Riots,
but not Tulsa or Wilmington. You learned that George Washington's dentures were made
from wood, rather than the teeth from slaves. You learned about black ghettos,
but not about Black Wall Street. You learned about the New Deal, but not "red lining."
You learned about Tommie Smith's fist in the air at the 1968 Olympics, but not that he was sent home the
next day and stripped of his medals. You learned about "black crime," but white criminals were
never lumped together and discussed in terms of their race. You learned about "states rights" as the cause of the Civil War, but not that slavery was mentioned
80 times in the articles of secession. Privilege is having history rewritten so that you don't
have to acknowledge uncomfortable facts. Racism is perpetuated by people who refuse
to learn or acknowledge this reality.

Are no 100% red states. There’s not one state in the South that didn’t have at least 30% of the vote go to Harris. Most of them voted over 40% for her. Try as they might, progressive and marginalized people don’t cease to exist in majority conservative communities. Think, yall.
