The Major Social Media Platforms Are All Rejecting Paid Ads for Alex Gibney’s ‘Musk’ (Exclusive)
YouTube, TikTok and Meta have all turned down the trailer for the Oct. 9 doc, citing “political” content. X won't even take Bleecker Street's calls. The distributor is appealing.

The entire US politics and news industries spend a large chunk of their waking hours on a platform designed to inflate the importance of that 18%. It's a big problem, and why you get stuff like Tammy Duckworth saying she's against impeachment because she wants to "find a compromise" on USAID $

notice how these people who were formerly all-in on the mythical power of ideological moderation have changed their tack and entire organizational orientation after discovering the wisdom of the ancients that most voters are not ideological at all. now it’s all about “heterodoxy.”

A horizontal bar chart titled "Private Education and Health Services Explains All of It," showing the contribution to women's 101% share of net nonfarm job growth from Dec. 2024 to Aug. 2026 by supersector.

The chart breaks down total contribution into two components: "Between effect (industry size)" in orange and "Within effect (industry gender mix)" in dark blue.

Private education and health services: Accounts for virtually all growth, with a "Between effect" bar extending to nearly 105% on the positive side.

Leisure and hospitality: Second largest positive contribution, showing both a positive "Within effect" (approx. 8%) and "Between effect" (extending total contribution to around 18%).

Professional and business services: Small positive contribution (~6%) driven primarily by the "Within effect."

Government: Shows a negative "Between effect" (~ -18%) partially offset by a positive "Within effect" (~7%).

Financial activities: Has the largest overall negative impact, with negative values in both "Within effect" (~ -11%) and "Between effect" (~ -18%).

No matter what you think of AfD, it’s weird for the US president to publicly comment on a subnational election in Germany, and cheer for a party getting a plurality. The specifics—neo-Nazis, transnational fascist solidarity—make it extra bad. But it’s not normal, and shows where his priorities lie.

The Trump regime’s communication to Russia on the war in Ukraine is, and has always been, “we’ll make it easier for you, so keep going, you can win.” Whatever words come out of Trump, Kushner, and Witkoff’s mouths, that’s the message their actions send, and that is how the Kremlin has received it.
