He’s moved on from ivermectin but I still cannot overstate how lazy and stupid this guy’s scams are. People have died from experimenting with DMSO, an industrial grade solvent. There is a wealth of scientific literature on it, and the only people pushing decades-old junk science like this are frauds
Pierre Kory, MD MPA & @PierreKory

If DMSO was used for strokes and spinal cord injuries, millions would be spared from death, paralysis, and disability. As an ICU doc, I am in disbelief the FDA has kept this from us for decades. The evidence @MidwesternDoc presents here is mind-blowing.

How DMSO Treats
•Strokes and Brain Bleeds
• Brain and Spine Injuries
• Paralysis
• Heart Attacks
• Dementia
• Amyloidosis
• Developmental Delays
• Down Syndrome
• Raynaud's
•Varicose Veins

SNAP3: Are multimorbidity and frailty the same? No. Most older surgical patients with multimorbidity aren’t frail. Most people with frailty are multimorbid. Not news to geriatricians and primary care; may not have hit consciousness of anaesthetists and surgeons so much? 11/ #AnSky #GeriSky #SurgSky
Figure: Venn diagram of overlap of frailty and multimorbidity. Multimorbidity: N = 2863 (46%); Multimorbidity and frailty: N = 1079 (17%); Frailty: N = 177 (3%); None: N = 2129 (34%). Put another way (which is what we wrote in the paper): Approximately 80% of patients living with frailty (78.8%, 1079/1369) were also living with multimorbidity. In contrast, 27.1% (1079/3978) of those living with multimorbidity were also living with frailty.
These data mirror the famous Vetrano figure describing the overlap of frailty and multimorbidity in community dwelling older people.
