The underappreciated point here is that taking the messy, contingent nature of scheduling, communication, and navigating social relationships is something that AI people think these tools can do. When in fact it is quite difficult and takes a lot of social skill.

I participated in some public library ai courses. I’m telling you that the state of literacies and the complexity of lives deeply enmeshed in the bowels of late stage capitalism cannot find a use case for an agent & if they could, people don’t have the scaffolding to imagine one that could be useful

The main reason you haven’t heard about campus sexual violence in a few years is because Trump and SCOTUS have made it much, much harder for survivors to come forward. You might vaguely remember that Title IX was a big battleground in his first term. And that we lost.

Copenhagen doesn't even have the best cycling infrastructure. That honor belongs to Utrecht and other Dutch cities. CPH has lots of car-dominated streets and intersections where cyclists are a bit exposed. But it's an *excellent* example of what could be done rather quickly in plenty of US cities.

"These MAGA weddings are Mos Eisley cantinas for counterintelligence." –@michaeldweiss.bsky.social
Screenshot of a quote-tweet by @michaeldweiss dated 27 Sep 2026. The original tweet is from "Sigal Chattah" (@Chattah4Nevada), and reads "Love is in the air [two heart emojis] Congrats [champagne emoji] to our amazing @AlinaHabba & @turhanmildoin [three emojis showing the Hamsa, a blue hand with an eye in it]." That text appears above a picture showing Kash Patel, Alina Habba, and others at a wedding ceremony. In his quote-tweet, Michael Weiss writes: "Why, that’s Ali Abdelaziz is on the far left. Manages a lot of Russian, Belarusian and Chechen MMA fighters including Khamzat Chimaev, who is close to Kadyrov. Abdelaziz was an FBI informant until the Bureau dropped him because they suspected he was a double agent. Looks like Ka$h (far right) has forgiven and forgotten. These MAGA weddings are Mos Eisley cantinas for counterintelligence."

Thoughts: this is not totally a reflection on the team itself. DC as a city and community has been going through it in 2026, the entire K-shaped economy is squeezing out so many people from regularly attending games, and Nats Park has pulled more and more seats into “premium” pricing.

A couple quick observations here, which should be obvious. 1) insurance “risk pools” work by requiring younger/healthier people who make few or no claims to sign up and pay premiums alongside older/less healthy people who do, essentially covering their costs.
