Important to recognise that the £900m+ represents only the disguised expenditure and cash injections. Because it will have bought unearned success, which will have translated into higher winnings and sponsorship deals, the true amount of illicit spending could easily be hundreds of millions higher.

Everyone's praising Burnham for what he plans to do. But he's PM now. He could have prosecuted water CEOs for polluting the environment - he could have nationalised water. He could have stopped jailing grannies for peaceful protest. He could have gone after the fascists etc He's full of it.

The bond yield story just keeps getting starker.
