Heads up #beer drinkers in #BC — you might not want to give #Sooke Brewing Company your money. Check out the 1-star Google reviews. (via r/VictoriaBC) Please spread the word if you care about Truth and Reconciliation and standing up against anti-Indigenous racism.

John Adair, owner of Sooke Brewing Company, wore a "Show Me the Evidence" shirt at work on September 30, the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

The evidence of children who died at residential schools is well documented in survivor testimony, school records, school cemeteries and the Truth and
Reconciliation Commission's final report.

He chose to wear that shirt at his business on that day. Choices have consequences.
I've included the Google Review link below

Reminder that Carney has cut funding for Natural Resources Canada, Environment and Climate Change Canada, Indigenous and Northern Affairs, and Indigenous Services. And he has rolled back climate protections, abandoned emissions targets, and is building more pipelines.
Carney:

"The wildfire situation has escalated significantly over the last three weeks across the country, and particularly in Northwestern Ontario.

Thousands of people have been forced to evacuate their communities, not knowing if their homes will survive.

On behalf of Canadians, I want to thank the brave firefighters, first responders, Indigenous and local leaders who are working tirelessly to keep people safe.

Our government is in close contact with provincial, municipal, and Indigenous partners and stands ready to provide any additional support as needed."

WHY ARE CANADIANS SO MAD ABOUT THIS? Imagine that whatever you consider USA’s ‘one true sport’ is — in Canada, without question, it is HOCKEY — and that YOUR WHOLE LIFE, it was free to watch on PBS, but now, in recent years, one of the country’s richest families bought all its broadcast rights.

This is a loss for Canada as a whole. It sounds ridiculous, but hockey brings people together, no matter what team you follow. You can go anywhere in Canada - coast to coast to coast - and start up a conversation with most anyone about hockey.

A WHOLE CIVILIZATION
WILL DIE TONIGHT
My son needs lunch, and I have to put his backpack together, but a whole civilization will die tonight, so I'm wondering if they've closed their schools.
Like, a snow day, maybe, except instead of snow it's
"keep your children home so if you die, you die together" — instead of "well open back up once the plows have cleared" it's
"we don't know if we'll be here tomorrow, hold your babies tight."
It's just "talk" I'm told, which I've been told before.
"It's how the president makes his deals." But I've never heard anyone talk about other human beings this way, and I'm not certain I can look my son in the eyes if we all agree to stomach it one more time.
A civilization will die tonight, but as I zip up his backpack and kiss him off to school I think: if this is what we call leadership then I'm not entirely sure ours isn't already dead.

The people of Iran pose no threat to the United States — this has always been an oil war at the behest of the 1%. Now, Trump is threatening genocide over it. Where is the leadership from Carney to denounce this illegal war? Where is the pressure from provincial leaders?
Donald J. Trump
@realDonaldTrump
A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don't want that to happen, but it probably will. However, now that we have Complete and Total Regime Change, where different, smarter, and less radicalized minds prevail, maybe something revolutionarily wonderful can happen, WHO KNOWS? We will find out tonight, one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the World. 47 years of extortion, corruption, and death, will finally end. God Bless the Great People of Iran!

The President of the United States is openly threatening to commit genocide against 90 million people. Prime Minister Carney: if there was ever a moment to denounce this illegal war, withdraw your support, and call for accountability for war crimes—it’s now.

🚀 🌔 NASA is planning to launch Artemis II to the moon in just seven hours! Here's your quick guide to the mission--read more at www.scientificamerican.com/report/nasa-...
Headline: NASA astronauts are counting down to the Artemis II moon launch. Displayed over a photo of four people in bright orange space suits. At bottom, an image of the Artemis II rocket on the launch pad. Text above it reads:
NASA is targeting April 1 to launch Artemis II, sending four astronauts on a mission around the moon that will help shape its future lunar exploration plans.
If it proceeds, the flight would mark the first time humans travel beyond Earth orbit in more than 50 years, since Apollo 17 in 1972.
The mission will use the Space Launch System rocket and Orion crew capsule, though both have faced multiple delays this year due to issues discovered during testing.Portraits of each of the Artemis II astronauts: NASA's Reid Wiseman, commander; NASA's Victor Glover, pilot; NASA's Christina Koch, mission specialist; and Canada's Jeremy Hansen, mission specialist.
Text above reads: Artemis II will carry three NASA astronauts and one Canadian astronaut on a 10-day mission that could take them farther into space than any humans have gone before. At top, a diagram showing the Artemis II mission's flight path. Text reads:
The mission will test critical systems, conduct medical and scientific experiments, and enable observation of the moon's far side.
While satellites and some Apollo missions have captured parts of the far side, the crew may see areas of the lunar surface never before viewed by humans.
Artemis II will also help validate technology for future missions, including Artemis III and a planned moon landing during Artemis IV, and support NASA's long-term goal of establishing a sustained human presence on the moon.
