Did You Know? The first Tomb Raider comic from Top Cow, released in December 1999, was the year’s most-shipped comic to North American comic shops, and likely the best-selling one, ahead of X-Men! This shows just how much anticipation & success Lara Croft had when she made the jump to a new medium!

Esme wanted us to deal her in for a game of Silver yesterday. But then she went to sleep on the chair after I dealt🤣 Table talk centered around how to make the dog a player in a game with hidden information. We'd turn over her hand at the end of the round and discuss her options🤣 #boardgames
White-blonde chihuahua-mix, ears down, looking wistfully over the table. The lid for Silver is on the table, on the righ, turned face side down with rulebooks barely visible inside. The playmat is Game Toppers Horror themed mat. The top of a spooky old house is visible on the mat.

oh, so we live in an era of technological wonders, do we? and where is MY drinking horn with actual scrabbly little feet, Silicon Valley? where might it be??
Drinking horn in the shape of a griffin's claw
Germanic countries, about 1500
Horn, engraved and gilded copper
This bull's horn, mounted in a precious metal setting, rests on eagle talons that evoke a griffin, a legendary animal that is half-eagle, half-lion. Saint Corneille, a pope, was said to have received a claw from a griffin he cured. Transformed into a drinking cup, the claw was believed to detect poison in drinks. A sign of wealth, this object may have decorated a table or dresser where precious dinnerware was displayed.Drinking horn in the shape of a griffin's claw

we went wrong as a society when we stopped painting little lads with snouts on our dishware
Five reverse sides of dishes
Manises (Valencia, Spain), 2nd half of the 15th century Ceramic with metallic lustre
Artists in Valencian workshops paid particular attention to the underside of their works painted in metallic lustre on an ecru ground. Their favourite patterns can be found there, like the bryony-style motif or the heraldic eagle. The underside can even sometimes be more original, as in the case of the field mouse on a carpet of liquorice foliage which is much more narrative than the heraldic decor on the other side. The underside with a lion in a liquorice leaf pattern belongs to a dish with the Medici family coat of arms, another copy of which is housed in the British Museum in London. These scrolls of wild liquorice leaves sometimes form carpet-like foliage patterns for these richly-decorated undersides.
