i was fortunate enough to profile Margaret Hamilton in 2019. A really kind and curious person. This was my favorite story she told me:

All the love to the pups and the kids, but the fact that this is presented as a feelgood story absolutely enrages me. Why we just accepted this as the price of living in the US, I will never understand.

I wind up drawing a lot of bird-like things; the way that I draw seems to generate them on the on the regular. Often they are weird, abstract fellows. But, it turns out, I often draw ravens or crows. Which is great; I love corvids. It's October. Have some corvids, friends.
Art. Black and white drawing made of abstract shapes and lines that looks very much like a raven or crow, sitting up and looking to your right. You can't see the whole bird, just from the midsection up. Still...it's blank eye is penetrating in the way of a Little Orphan Annie cartoon character, and the set of it's beak says that it will brook no bullshit.Black and white drawing of a raven, looking away from you as if you've done something terribly wrong. The drawing is made of abstract shapes and lines. The overall feel of the bird is best summed up as "grumpy."Art. Black and white drawing made of abstract shapes and lines showing a raven or crow in flight. It's wing is above it, caught mid-flap, and it's feet trail beneath it. It's eye is fixed ahead, looking at the horizon and the future.
