Poorly thought-out foreign quagmires and disasters, economic instability and deprivation, wanton cruelty and violence are all hallmark features of white supremacist societies.

Part of being an adult and having adult relationships is being able to accept that your partner is a different person form you and that you aren't always going to be the only focal point of their attention and that's okay. Getting worried about that seems really immature and insecure.

If we're serious about raising kids who speak up when something is wrong I think we have a lot of work to do to support them when they do and also help them navigate the challenges and big feelings that come with it. Being that kid is risky. How do we support them in that risk?

As you look at the destroyed economy, increasing wars around the globe, decreased public health, and mass deportation, remember that about half of all of the votes that Trump received, were cast by women. Half. It is not true that Trump gets more support from men than women.

"stay at home mom" does not mean tradwife. "Person who cooks or does domestic chores" does not mean tradwife. It's a very specific set of fascist adjacent anti-feminist ideals that complement the fantasy of men's place in MAGA. It is toxic, harms women, and enables abuse of women and others.

They quoted me in this New Yorker piece about AI today. www.newyorker.com/culture/the-...
“Let’s say there’s a world or time line I exist in where A.I. has been subject to regulation. It is ethical. It has no footprint environmentally,” the novelist Jeff VanderMeer, a prominent critic of A.I., told me over the phone. “With those guardrails in place, would I read an A.I. book? All I can say is no. And the reason is, in part, because I want to read something coming from a particular mind.” Using A.I., he said, “feels like a betrayal of the whole point of why you’re a writer.”
