Like, I'm not a public figure at all (thank God), but if I found out someone I worked with and trusted had raped someone that would be awful, even if my job was entirely unrelated. Honestly, it feels like this happens so much that it feels like I probably *have* worked with a rapist. Ugh.

I don't have a real solid answer for this. I guess like... Victims should be centered first and foremost. So like...I could see being an advocate, perhaps, with the people you're working with knowing about your past, and like... People having a chance to decide not to work with you?

IMO, the solution should not be to browbeat people into an old standard, but rather allow people to wear whatever they want. If someone can wear ducky pajamas in public, you can wear tailoring in any cut, color, and material. As options open up, dress can then be a source of pleasure.

It's very easy to wear a suit and tie in any major city, even if the aesthetic has mostly disappeared from daily life, because there are people outside wearing pink tutus with Army boots. As usual, your liberation is connected to other people's liberation.
