If you're considering dressing your child, self or home in Halloween tat this year, PLEASE consider charity shops first. Went on my lunchbreak, all of them had racks of stuff identical to what's on sale new elsewhere. Also, you MIGHT get a £130 De'Longhi espresso machine for £15! I know I did! ☕

screenshot text from a BBC news article that reads:

Household energy prices are set to soar in January, with a typical annual bill forecast to jump by £276, figures shared with the BBC reveal.

The 16% predicted increase would hit millions of households at the coldest time of year, and would mark the biggest rise in bills for four years.

Do not carry a cold beverage in their presence. Politely decline any drinks or sweetmeats they may offer. Keep a plain iron nail in your left trouser pocket and a sachet or paper twist of coarse salt in your right shoe. Enter and leave your chair moving clockwise. Follow up with a thank-you note.

Lots of mind-bogglingly daft lines from realtors about the lack of future risk ("it's been there since the 90s, forever!" etc), but the chilling part is the political suppression of honesty re: climate change because of the need to keep selling real estate. heated.world/p/the-open-h...

If they were holding a placard that said "I oppose genocide and support Palestine Action", they would be in jail, but criminal damage and assault are fine as long as you're targeting approved hate figures (lifeguards suspected of not letting migrants drown).
