Ralston Elko @necho.org · 08/04/2025Ayn Rand novels have this same confusion; assume a fictional 1890s industry with a 1950s regulatory state, then complain about how opressive the regulatory state is 1121

Patrick Laff @patricklaff.bsky.social · 08/04/2025Since WW2, the USA has become a nation of low educated, capitalist low paid, unskilled service industry workers. With their yesteryear open 9-5, m-f workplace practices & blue law closed on Sunday's. The USA will never be 24/7 365 globally competitive, or makes thing's that are universally salable.😏 010

Peter Goss @pgossnm.bsky.social · 08/04/2025The years Trump constantly points to end in 1913, so the income tax is what he is after. Tariffs are highly regressive taxes while income taxes attempt to be progressive (but the swiss cheese-ifaction of the tax code favors wealth). So, replace income tax with tariffs, better for wealth classes. 3252
