But ultimately it's just a very, very sweet 80 mins where you fall in love with a plastic head on a massive cardboard box and a man who learns that being different doesn't mean you have to protect yourself in isolation. It's currently on Channel 4 www.channel4.com/programmes/b... so give it a go.

So tonight I went to an exhibition of the work of the late BBC Costume Designer, Joyce Hawkins, covering her 3 decade long career from 1958 to her retirement in 1988. She died in May this year, aged 95. Well done on all that, Joyce

The whole "small boats" issue is a problem created out of thin air by successive right wing governments and amplified by a racist media who don't want a single brown person in this country. It's so simple it fits in one post and I can add this sentence too.

Farage has been badly advised from a comms POV. If his defence is “It’s AI,” he’ll have nothing left when it’s proved to be gen. Also if it’s AI (LOL), he should be defending Jukes & Orr rather than allowing them immediately to step down. It’s inept, panicky & transparently bent crisis comms.

Had their been a reckoning for him a little earlier in the century, then we may not have hamstrung our economy and politics with Brexit - or brought explicit racism back into the mainstream. So, yes, let's absolutely bury Farage, but don't forget all the people who went easy on him all these years.

The Farage is a corrupt racist interested only in his own ego and wallet is an absolutely unchanging fact of his life. That it has suddenly been decided that this is a serious matter that calls into question his fitness for public life is the only thing that has changed.
