Judith Butler Apology Form
Date:
Reason for behavior:
( ) The media convinced me that feminism was solved in the 1980s
( ) I miss not thinking about gender
( ) I was jealous of their nonbinary swag
( ) I never actually read their work
( ) I didn't realize how much of society is built on gender
( ) Mercury was in retrograde
-------------
( ) I will hereby respect Judith Butler and I will NOT talk down on the best feminist thinker of our lifetimes

Happy #ADoorAbleThursday! Here’s the porch of St Giles’ church in Bowes in the land of the haliwerfolc, though originally in the land of Alan rufus of the OG Richmond.
Photograph of a small stone porch in front of the main door of a small stone church in Bowes, County Durham, in northern England. The church dates to the late 12th century, but there was probably a church here in the 11th, if not the early 12th, century.Photograph of a stone panel above the outer arch of the porch depicting the crucifixion.

Until visiting Bowes Castle for the 3rd time last week, I didn’t realise there was a whacking great well right by Henry II’s wee tower. It’s a weird position for a well, and if my general theory about wells at early castles is correct, might suggest there has been an elite complex here pre-C12.

Dark brown paper manuscript fragment, badly torn around the edges, with a large drawing of a human-like figure with a rectangular torso, conical hat, misaligned eyes, and a snake draped over its shoulders. Arabic text in black ink fills much of the empty space.
