Can’t overstate how important Schnapp’s graphic contributions were in the haphazard ways comics were presented on the newsstands, soda shops, etc. of the day—oftentimes the logo might be the only part of the cover you saw on first glance

A very large comic rack in 1948 according to the caption with a young lad looking at a comic. Alphabetical unbelievably, not a lot of DC oddly enough though there is a Detective Comics and Batman there. Except for the top shelf and bottom row, all you really see of the comic covers are the logos.

Picture from an auction listing of a comics spinner rack, the top of the spinner has graphics encouraging readers to “Buy Approved Comics” meaning Comics Code approved comics. There are some DC Annuals (reissues?) in the spinner again with only the cover logos really showing.

I like that! I've seen similar stuff with publishers selling stock art packs of the art in the a given ttrpg. I'm a layout designer who often incorporates stock art along a theme in my own stuff, and I'd definitely be interested in these.
