It's intimidating when I look up how to get rid of a weed from my yard and the answer is like, "Dig each plant up from the roots, which might extend for meters underground. Bag it up and incinerate it. If one flower has bloomed on it, one billion seeds have already been spread across your yard."

Why is there so much pressure to like country music anyway? Seems it does well despite my personal tastes only skimming the edges. Everyone in this country is watching Taylor Sheridan shows, wearing cowboy boots and prairie dresses, and driving giant pickup trucks.

I sometimes think about the security of personal banking in the face of agentic AI. Maybe a human at a bank should call me for permission when a major transaction is initiated online (this is what my financial advisor does with longer term investment accounts).

I was at a funeral viewing for my next door neighbor (died in her 80s). Her son is a little older than me and was showing me photos of his new dog on his phone. But, like, most of his cloud is full of guns or bullets. 😟

I was just at a Gen Z wedding where the cake is up in front by the bride and groom, and guests come up with a fork and just dig in. So the cake is never cut, just decimated.
