Last night I started a two-shot of Good Society 2E’s QuickStart from @storybrewersroleplaying.com last night. A return from the military brought up some old feelings, some longing and rumours of all manner of scandals for our cast.

A rumour board:
A young village girl went ‘to relatives’ for nine months right when Wendsworth took off to the Navy. Coincidence?
Pennyworth gave Lady Jane an engagement brooch.
Andrew lost the family fortune (later revealed to be true)
Fitzwilliam threatened Wendsworth not to marry Jane (who still loves him) because he doesn’t want to lose his estate.

Horror on the Orient Express was great fun. We found two definite non-cultists in the list of suspects, but the cosmic horrors piled up and we never made it to Constantinople. Hopefully we’ll do better next time.

DNX was fine. Like Age of Revelation, so far it feels like an X-Men story arc instead of an event. I didn’t care for the giant chin on the regular cover so I took a punt on a blind bag. Here’s a shiny cover of a war criminal. #xspoilers

I told myself I’d only get the new Fire Emblem if I knuckled down and finally finished Fates. That’s a wrap, right on time!

Part of the end animation from Fire Emblem Fates: Revelation. The families of Nohr and Hoshido are united, which is good as you have to kill the possessed husks of a lot of theirs (and your) parents.

The bear in Hester’s Mill’s record of two PC deaths in a session has now been beaten by the Straw Pig in Into the Fog, which obliterated three adventurers. All in all a fun session, even if the group never made it to the end. #fatherfog

I’m almost done with my cod-historical Harry Houdini X Arthur Conan Doyle mystery game for Sprigs & Kindling. I’ve been cursing myself at the historical research I’ve been doing, knowing that the two comic scripts I’m writing are pre WWII vampires and alt-post-WWII apocalyptic superheroes.

My brother’s owned a Switch 2 for a month, and it’s nice getting stoked for Ocarina with him. Back in the day it was a combined Christmas present when we were kids. We played it on Christmas Day with our mum getting merrily stoned and really into the world of it.
